Pursuing higher education requires perseverance, originality, and the ability to think independently, especially as new technologies continue to reshape classrooms and workplaces. At NordstrandBlack PC, we are proud to recognize students who demonstrate those qualities through our annual Reach the Summit Scholarship.

For this year’s contest, students were asked to submit an essay that engages with an issue which will influence the future of education and the workplace. We appreciate the time, effort, and dedication each student invested in preparing their submission.

About the Reach the Summit Scholarship

NordstrandBlack PC is proud to offer the 2026 Reach the Summit Scholarship awards to help students pursue their educational goals while encouraging meaningful conversations about issues affecting future generations. We are awarding two scholarships that are worth $1,000 each. They are available to students throughout the United States, and the competition is open to students of all majors.

Artificial intelligence has quickly become part of everyday life, influencing how students research, write, communicate, and prepare for future careers. While AI offers many benefits, it also raises important questions about originality, critical thinking, and maintaining an authentic voice.

This year’s essay prompt challenges students to consider how personal experiences, creativity, ethics, and individual viewpoints will continue to shape success in an AI driven world. The responses we received demonstrate impressive maturity and thoughtful analysis, making the selection process especially competitive.

Supporting Students Who Will Shape the Future

NordstrandBlack PC partners Renée J. Nordstrand-Black and Doug Black understand the importance of dedication, integrity, and standing up for others. As a personal injury law firm, we work every day to seek justice on behalf of accident victims and families whose lives have been changed by negligence.

Those same values inspire our scholarship program. Education provides opportunities for future leaders, professionals, and advocates who will make meaningful contributions to their communities. By supporting students today, we hope to encourage the next generation to approach challenges with compassion, honesty, and independent thinking.

Two Winners Will Be Announced on July 29

The selection process is now entering its final stage. We look forward to announcing our winners on July 29, 2026.

Choosing only two winners from such a talented group of finalists is never easy. Every finalist demonstrated the ability to think critically and communicate effectively. We wish all of our finalists the very best as they continue their educational journeys and future careers.
