Daniel Bauerlein joined NordstrandBlack PC as an attorney in 2020. Previous to that, he worked for the firm for three years while putting himself through the Santa Barbara College of Law, where he graduated third in his class. After taking a year off in order to prepare for the California State Car exam, which is one of the hardest bar exams in the nation, he passed and came back to the firm, excited to begin his new career as a personal injury attorney. Prior to working with NordstrandBlack PC, Bauerlein was unsure about what kind of law he wanted to practice. But, after seeing how devastating accidents can be for victims, and how much of an impact an injury can truly have on someone’s life, Bauerlein realized that his calling was to help those most in need: the injured, the ill, and the ignored.
Bauerlein’s sense of right and wrong was shaped through a life full of twists and turns. Before coming to the firm and beginning law school, Bauerlein earned a B.S. in Environmental Science, Technology, and Policy from California State University, Monterey Bay. He then went on to enlist in the United States Coast Guard, where he served as an operations specialist on a national security cutter. After serving with the Coast Guard, he decided to further his education by getting an M.S. in Environmental Policy and Management from American Military University, where he graduated with honors.
After years of service in the military and several degrees under his belt, Bauerlein is prepared to stand up and fight for his clients. Insurance companies care more about their profits than the clients they are meant to serve, but Bauerlein wants to combat that insidious behavior with skill, dedication, and a passion for helping those in need. NordstrandBlack PC is a stronger firm for having such a committed and knowledgeable attorney on the team.
